   <description>Hafton castle is a magnificent building overlooking Holy Loch and can accommodate 42 persons in 19 en-suite rooms.  The joy of a wedding at Hafton Castle is that you can tailor-make the occasion to suit yourself, plan the whole wedding to suit your tastes and your budget.  Rental rates and reasonable and you have the opportunity to extend the occasion and enjoy the company of your friends and family beyond the day itself, and stay for a few days or even a week.   Hafton Castle is a magnificent building with views across Holy Loch, set in its own delightful gardens with its own magnificent indoor swimming pool. (Please note that the price quoted does not include the pre heating and use of the pool – there is an additional charge of £500 for this.)  The Castle is a superb house with its wonderful indoor pool, billiard room, toy room, big conservatory and lots of outdoor space, plenty of space for the large number of people it sleeps.  The magnificent front hall has plenty of seats, wood-burner and a grand piano.  The Castle was built by James Hunter, and its architect was David Hamilton who also designed Dunoon Castle.   The bedrooms are very comfortable and all have en suite showers. The building has some magnificent features, beautiful ceilings, carved doors and a superb staircase. There are a numerous spacious public rooms. The drawing-room has a bar area and double doors onto the small drawing-room and the two rooms open  out into one very large room, perfect for weddings or other gatherings.    Outside, the gardens have old trees, lawns and the views across the Loch are beautiful. The Castle can be reached from Glasgow Airport in approximately 45 minutes by car and  guests usually arrive via the ferry which departs from Gourock and crosses the Firth of Clyde, a very romantic and atmospheric start to their stay at Hafton.  There are many local activities, golf, swimming, clay pigeon shooting, sailing, fishing and quad biking to name but a few. Dunoon itself is the home of the Cowal Highland Gathering.  We leave the catering and wedding arrangements to the bride and groom, although we are very happpy to recommend caterers, florists, musicians and other local suppliers.</description>
